Movie Matinee

A monthly social event for our members, as well as any church member, friend or guest, is a movie matinee on the fourth* Tuesday afternoon (*except possibly November and December, when, due to the holidays, another Tuesday may be scheduled). This is a very informal event; attendees are welcome to stay after to discuss the movie if they wish, but definitely not a requirement. The genre will vary, but your only risk is the cost of a movie.

Typically the movie will be at The Angelika (Mockingbird Station) or possibly The Magnolia (Uptown), The Inwood (Lovers Lane near the Tollway) or Northpark's AMC. All theatres can provide hearing devices at the box office.

There are no dues and our only rule is NO TALKING during the show!

We hope this will become a fun and much anticipated event for those who enjoy movies and, also, help prepare those whose "Super Bowl" is the Academy Awards!
